Why do we need to use bags?

If you are talking about handbags, I can’t imagine being without one. If I learned nothing else from the Girl Scouts, I learned to “be prepared”. I also am a firm believer in the theory that if you have it with you, then you won’t need it.

People laugh at my large handbags with many pockets. They laugh until they need a safety pin, bandaid, tissue, or aspirin. Then they stop laughing.

There are also feminine hygiene products to carry around and for those who wear make-up, they need to have access to their favorite products throughout the day. For those of us who are low maintenance, we still need a comb and the occasional mirror.

Don’t forget identification cards, insurance cards, credit cards and phone. I have sunglasses, night glasses and reading glasses to carry. I carry a Swiss Army Knife, nail clipper, and a small flash light. I have an extra set of keys to my father’s and brother’s homes.

So, unless you want your pockets weighted down with all of this stuff, then you need to use and carry a bag.
